Microbiome Engineering Festival - June 2025

In June 2025, we celebrated Microbiome Day (June 27th) with a month-long online festival dedicated to the science, innovation, and community behind microbiome engineering. The microbiome plays a vital role in human health, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, shaping everything from digestion and immunity to soil fertility and climate resilience. As our understanding continues to grow, microbiome engineering is becoming a powerful tool to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

Throughout the festival, we hosted a wide range of events, including research talks, interdisciplinary panels, and entrepreneurship spotlights, bringing together scientists, startups, policymakers, and members of the public to explore the exciting future of microbiome science.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our incredible speakers and attendees who helped make the Microbiome Engineering Festival 2025 such a dynamic and inspiring event.
